Deryk Shepherd

With a lifelong background in competitive sports and more than a decade managing the demanding logistics of moving companies, I’ve built my career, and my life, around performance, recovery, and resilience. I’ve always been fascinated by how the body responds to challenges, whether on the playing field or in the face of intense physical labor, and how the right tools, applied in the right way, can accelerate healing and elevate performance.

My journey with PEMF therapy began in 2017, when I first discovered its potential to stimulate the body’s natural repair and regeneration processes. In 2022, I invested in my first device, driven by equal parts curiosity and determination to improve my own recovery. The results were nothing short of transformative, with faster recovery times, improved stamina, and an overall sense of vitality I could not ignore.

That personal breakthrough lit a fire. I dove deep into the science, absorbing peer-reviewed studies, exploring the biological mechanisms behind PEMF, and learning how this technology interacts with the body on a cellular level. Over the years, my hands-on work with PEMF grew into my business, Apex Performance Recovery, where I combine education, technology, and application to help clients of all kinds achieve their recovery and performance goals.

In building Apex, I gained experience with four different Pulse PEMF models, each offering unique strengths. This hands-on exposure gave me a deep understanding of the machines’ capabilities and how to match them with specific therapy goals. Over time, my expertise and client feedback led me to a clear conclusion: the Pulse Pro stands above the rest for my business model and the wide variety of clients I serve. Its unmatched power, versatility, and range of applications allow me to deliver consistent, outstanding results, whether I am working with a professional athlete, a senior horse, or a beloved family dog.

Living in Ocala, Florida, the Horse Capital of the World, has given me the privilege of working extensively with equine athletes, from racehorses to show jumpers, using PEMF to aid recovery after training, competition, and injury.

My work also extends to canine clients, both elite canine athletes and older dogs facing mobility or back challenges. By tailoring the therapy to their needs, PEMF helps improve comfort, range of motion, and quality of life.

This combination of scientific knowledge, biological insight, and technical mastery has earned me a reputation as a trusted PEMF resource. I am not just versed in theory, I understand how to translate complex science into practical, results-driven applications that deliver measurable improvements in recovery, resilience, and overall wellness.

Since 2023, I have been sharing this expertise through presentations, educational talks, and one-on-one consultations, helping humans, horses, and dogs alike unlock the full potential of PEMF therapy.

Today, as a dedicated representative of Pulse PEMF and owner of Apex Performance Recovery, my mission is clear: to empower others through education, guidance, and access to PEMF therapy, helping them recover faster, perform better, and live healthier lives, no matter how many legs they stand on.
